Jacques Philippe Hébert
Jacques Philippe Hébert was born on June 7th, 1952, and lived most of his life in the city of Laval, Quebec. He was educated in Arts at Cégep du Vieux Montréal in the 1970s. After that, he began a career in the business world, in which he succeeded, thanks to his tenacity, his discipline and his innate sense of management. But throughout his career, he regretted not having followed his deep dream, and it is only 25 years later that he decided to return to his first passion painting.
Jacques is a perfectionist and a passionate, he goes to work tirelessly and expresses his art deep emotions with an obsession and a continuous commitment and a meteoric evolution. Over the years, Jacques Philippe Hébert experienced a particularly prolific experimental phase that allowed him to develop and perfect his unique and exclusive expression technique. During a trip to Italy in 2003, he was impressed by the craftsmanship of blown glass and stained glass as well as their ability to convey depth using colors. Intrigued, he took part in several practical workshops on blown glass in Murano, Italy.
By adapting the work of glass to his own style became for him a personal challenge and even an obsession. Her abstract creations evolved into a multidisciplinary approach to self-expression: painting on canvas, sculptural manipulation of glass, and the combination of two substrates in the final phase.
